Spring is here, summer is coming, and Big Omaha is upon us again. This can only mean one thing – the third annual spring Tech Omaha Happy Hour! Let’s get together, build community, and show our out-of-town guests what Omaha is all about. The Omaha Mobile Meetup, NebraskaJS, Beer and Code Omaha, Omaha Java Users Group, Open Nebraska, Omaha Ruby, Omaha .Net User’s Group, Omaha Android Developers Group,  and Nebraska Drupalers have joined forces with Tech Omaha to throw a Happy Hour on Thursday May 5th, from 5pm to 9pm at the Slowdown in north downtown. This event is open to all of the great Developers and Technologists around our community.   Meet new people, catch up with old friends, and see how great our tech community can be working together.

Thanks to our generous sponsors, we will have food provided by PB Johnny’s Food Truck, some great door prizes to give away,and an open tab for happy hour, available on a first come, first serve basis. Once our funds run out, you’ll be on your own for drinks. Due to venue capacity registration is limited, and an RSVP via Eventbrite is required for all attendees.  We’re asking for a $2 donation from attendees, which will go directly to help Seventy Five North and Omaha Code School Highlander summer code camp for high schoolers in North Omaha. If you are a recruiter please contact Kevin Berry (kberry (at) AdivseDesign.com) about attending this event. Because of  the capacity of the venue we will be limiting recruiters to sponsoring companies only.

We’re still actively seeking sponsors for this community event. If you or your company is interested in sponsoring, please contact Kevin Berry ( kberry (at) AdviseDesign.com ) or any of the organizers of the supporting groups.  Tech Omaha Happy Hour events are grassroots initiatives organized by tech leaders in Omaha to support our need to make connections within the tech community. In return for your support, you’ll get your logo on the event site, you can hand out great swag at our event, and we’ll make announcements during the event to thank you and our other great sponsors so that the tech community knows who loves and supports them.

At the party, we’ll adhere to the NEJS Code of Conduct. If you need to report a violation of this code of conduct, or if you have any concerns of any kind, OR you just want to say hello, all event organizers will have organizer name badges so we’re easily identifiable.
